GKN Wheels Nagbol A/S
History
Around 1900 a village blacksmith was founded in Nagbøl. This blacksmith was the base of the company we today know as GKN Wheels Nagbøl A/S.
It became an actual factory in the thirties where the blacksmith’s shop (that had expanded over the years) was carried on under the name "Erik Møller and Sons". The sons Karl and Johannes Møller and the factory produced farming tools and components for the Danish Railways.
In 1942 Karl Møller took over the company and continued the business in his own name. He ran the business until 1973 where GKN took over. The company was still named after Karl Møller. In January 1989, GKN WHEELS was founded.
Through the years we have produced many different products in Nagbøl, among these are:
Locomotives road rollers equipment for mucking-out wheel barrows and machine axis.
The development of the company has been influenced by the fact that is it located in a farming area. New products have often been directly or indirectly related to the farming industry.
